ATTIC BREWING

In this business, we work with clients who need our help and expertise, and we strive to create a product that exceeds their expectations. We're always passionate about our work, but when we're lucky, we get inspired by their work, too. We met Laura and Todd Lacy through the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program, and knew immediately that their company had a story we wanted to tell. Attic Brewing has a clear mission, not just to brew great beer, but to be a great part of their community. Laura and Todd chose the Germantown section of Philadelphia to set up shop. This formerly industrial neighborhood is experiencing a renaissance, so Attic could have easily been built for Germantown’s new residents. Instead, Laura and Todd created a gathering place for all neighbors, old and new. Their inclusive approach is what drew us to them, and to this project, and it is what makes us so proud to tell their story.

We treat this type of marketing content less like a commercial and more like a documentary. We refer to the style as Docu-Marketing. This method lets us take a deeper dive into the story, offering a thoughtful feel for the people and organization. There are a lot of good craft breweries, but the work that Laura and Todd do in the community is what sets them apart. So our goal was to tell their story through the lens of Germantown by interviewing Attic’s regulars -- people who live and work in the neighborhood. We filmed at different locations throughout Germantown to paint a more complete picture of the area and create a rich look and feel. We also talked to employees, getting their take on what Attic is trying to accomplish, how they connect with the community, and how it feels to be a part of it. Their perspectives make Attic’s story robust and elevates the viewer’s experience, giving them something substantive, memorable, and moving.
